Cranberry is a natural antibiotic loaded with vitamin A and vitamin C. In the folk medicine, cranberry fruit and tea are used to treat infections of the urinary tract, such as nephritis, pyelocystitis and urethritis, and prevent urinary and kidney stones as well.

Cranberry can help prevent urinary infections, especially infections caused by bacteria Escherichia coli.

Escherichia coli are common bacteria of the urinary tract, which sticks on the walls of the urinary system. However, consuming cranberry juice can help eliminate bacteria easily through the urine. Cranberry fights against Escherichia coli, too.
