• 3 peeled and diced carrots
• 2 teaspoons of cumin

• 4 cups of broth

Heat some oil in a large pot and add the onion. Sauté for about three minutes and add the celery and carrots. Sauté again for about five minutes until the veggies become soft. Then, add the spices and the garlic and cook the mixture for about one minute. Next, add the broth and the lentils. Let the mixture simmer uncovered for 25 minutes.
