89-Year-Old Woman Helps Shelter Dogs By Hitting Warm Coats And Blankets
Shelter volunteers perform many functions; some of them help and feed shelter dogs, and others help pet lovers to adopt their perfect pet.
However, Maisie Green, an 89-year-old woman, helps shelter dogs by kitting comfortable and warm coats and blankets for them.
At the age of 89, Maisie knitted nearly 450 homemade dog coats and blankets for shelter dogs.
Maisie said to the Basildon Standard that she loved both dogs and knitting and that this combination fulfills her. She needs a day to knit a coat and three days to knit a dog blanket.
Generally, three times a year, she donated the knitted coats and blankets to Dogs Trust, the largest dog shelter in the UK.
Maisie said that she loves knitting while watching TV. She is pleased that she is helping shelter dogs in this way.
