Dale Schroeder from Iowa has worked all his life as a carpenter. He did not marry, nor have children on his own. When he died in 2005, people realized how rich he actually was. As he had no descendants, he wrote a statement.

As he had no chance to go to college, his wish was to send a few Iowa kids to college. He had enough money to send 33 kids to college.

He wanted to help kids that did not have money for education, just like him. Dale wanted one thing in return: not to pay it forward, but to emulate and remember him.
