Julián Ríos Cantú, a successful entrepreneur and CEO of RIOS, a mobile app development company in Mexico, has always been passionate about technology and innovation. However, it wasn’t until a personal tragedy that he found his true calling: using technology to improve people’s lives.

Determined to make a difference, Ríos Cantú and his team at RIOS set out to develop a device that could make breast cancer detection more accessible and affordable for women. The result was the “smart bra,” a wearable device that uses sensors to detect changes in breast tissue, which can indicate the presence of breast cancer.

The innovative bra, designed to be worn comfortably and discreetly, can be used in the privacy of one’s own home. The data it collects is analyzed by a computer algorithm, which can detect abnormalities and alert the user to schedule a mammogram. The device is also significantly less expensive than traditional mammography, making it more accessible to women of all income levels.

Rios Cantu’s mother was the inspiration for this project, and the smart bra’s development was a way to make a difference in the lives of other women. The smart bra is a symbol of his mother’s strength and resilience. It serves as a reminder of the importance of early detection and the power of technology to improve people’s lives.

The smart bra is not available in the market yet as it’s still under development and clinical trials. Still, it has already gained recognition and awards in different innovation contests and promises to impact the fight against breast cancer. Rios Cantu continues working on this project to make the smart bra available to women worldwide, especially in developing countries with limited medical facilities and technology access.
