Soup

Our liver is the master metabolizer and it is responsible for filtering all blood every 3 minutes. Every organ in our body has a special function, but the liver is the one responsible for processing and neutralizing the chemicals that our body is exposed to.

In every healthy diet or program for detox, if we eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, our cells will receive high concentrations of potassium that will flush out excess toxins and water and it will create an alkaline environment.

These toxins are afterward sent through the bloodstream to our liver which will neutralize them either by the colon or the kidneys, through the bile. While you are on a detox diet, all of these toxins are flushed out from the cells, and the liver has a much bigger pressure it is important to stimulate it, so it can be able to cope with the higher production of bile.

Broccoli soup

The cooking time for this soup is only 15 minutes.

It contains a lot of vitamins, minerals, and fiber. It has gorgeous green color and it is very tasty.

You will need:

– 2 celery stalks
– 2 cups of broccoli florets
– 2 garlic cloves
– 1 onion
– 1 parsnip
– 1 cup of greens of your choice (spinach, kale, etc.)
– 1 teaspoon of coconut oil
– 2 cups of water or vegetable broth (low sodium)
– ½ lemon (juiced)
– 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
– Seeds and nuts (toasted)
– Coconut milk for garnish

Directions:

Take a pot and add the coconut oil. Once the oil is heated you can add the onions, parsnip, carrots, celery, broccoli, and garlic. Cook them on low heat for 5 minutes and stir occasionally.

Afterward, add the liquid (water or broth) and bring it to a boil. Once is boiled, cover the pot. Simmer it for a maximum of 7 minutes and wait until the vegetables become tender. Finally and the greens and blend them up until you get a creamy consistency. Serve in a bowl and garnish with chia seeds, lemon, toasted nuts, and coconut cream. Enjoy.

Beet soup

The cooking time for this soup is 45 minutes. It is tasty and pinkish and it bursts with nutrients.

You will need:

– 2 carrots
– 1onion
– 2 garlic cloves
– 1 leek (small)
– 3 beets (medium)
– 1 teaspoon of coconut oil
– 2 cups of warm vegetable broth
– ¼ teaspoon of salt
– 1 tablespoon of chia seeds,
– Pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and coconut milk for garnish

Directions:

Add the beets to a pot and cover them in water. Boil them for half an hour, or until they become tender.

Remove them from the pot and once they are cooled down peel them and cut them into cubes. In another pot, add the coconut oil and add the garlic, leek, onion, and carrot and cook them for around 7 minutes. Transfer them to another plate. Blend the cubed beets in a blender and add the cooked vegetables from the plate, along with the broth. Blend until you get a creamy consistency.

Add salt and garnish with the seeds. Enjoy.

Sweet potato soup

The cooking time for this soup is 30 minutes. It contains a lot of vitamin A and fiber and it is amazing for dinner.

You will need:

– 1 sweet potato (peeled and in cubes)
– ½ of red lentils (cooked)
– 3 garlic cloves
– 1 parsnip
– 3 carrots
– 1 onion
– 1 teaspoon of cumin powder
– 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
– 2 cups of warm vegetable broth
– 1 teaspoon of coconut oil
– A little bit of freshly grated ginger
– A little bit of cayenne pepper
– Parsley and coconut milk for garnish

Directions:

On a tray, lined with a baking sheet add the carrots, potato, onion, parsnip, and garlic. Season them with the spices, add the oil and bake them in a preheated oven (165C), for around 20 minutes.

In a blender add the cooked lentils, the broth, and the ginger, and blend until you get a creamy consistency. Finally, add the roasted veggies and blend them as well. Serve warm and garnish with parsley and coconut milk. Enjoy.

Spices and seeds for ideal detox soup

This is the perfect mix for any soup. It does not have a strong taste. It is perfectly balanced.

Turmeric

It has a warm and peppery taste. Not to mention its extraordinary anti-inflammatory effects. They are ideal for digestion.

Cayenne

If you eat spicy food, this is the perfect choice as it contains a lot of health benefits. It can stimulate circulation and also neutralize acidity.

Cinnamon

It can stimulate detox and if you use it in small amounts it can boost the flavor of the vegetables.

– Coriander seeds
– ground cumin
– Toasted seeds (pumpkin, sesame, nigella, hazelnuts)

Detailed preparation:

You will need:

– 1 cup of lightly roasted and crushed hazelnuts
– 2 teaspoons of nigella seeds
– 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
– 2 teaspoons of sesame seeds
– ¼ teaspoon of coriander seeds (crushed)
– ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder
– ¼ teaspoon of ginger powder
– 1 teaspoon of turmeric

Directions:

Add the ingredient to a jar and shake well. On each soup, the serving adds 2 tablespoons as a topping.
